The Crucial Role of Family and Community in the Learning Process
My experiences in education often remind me of the crucial role that family and community play in the learning process. This awareness took root during my first teaching experience
Happy International Women’s Day! Today, we stand in solidarity to accelerate action for gender equality and ensure that every girl and woman has the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead.
At Zizi Afrique Foundation, we believe that education is the foundation of empowerment. Yet, too many girls across East Africa still face barriers to quality learning and meaningful opportunities. It is our collective responsibility—governments, communities, organizations, and individuals—to break these barriers, amplify voices, and drive real change.
This is not just about acknowledging the challenges; it’s about taking bold steps to transform policies, dismantle biases, and create inclusive spaces where every girl can thrive.
Join the movement.
Speak up for change.
Take action—because progress won’t wait.
Watch our International Women’s Day video and be inspired to be part of the change!
We generate, consolidate and, share evidence to inform policy and practice.
