Samuel Mutweleli
Dr. Samuel Mutweleli holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, a Master of Education Degree in Educational Psychology (Tests and Measurements) from Kenyatta University, a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Egerton University and additional certifications in promotion of technology enabled learning in Higher Institutions of Learning (HEI), from Commonwealth of
Learning.
He brings on board a vast experience gained in professional training and membership to various boards, research, evidence gathering and trainings for capacity development of academic staff both in HEIs’ and basic education, in the area of competency-based assessment, grading and reporting for policy development and improvement.
Previously, he taught as a lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology and served as the Coordinator In charge of examinations at the Digital School of Virtual and Open Learning at Kenyatta University.
He has also been a member of the Partnerships in Enhanced Blended Learning Project (PEBL), a lead trainer and a member of
the National Steering Technical Committee, ALiVE Project (Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania), that led the development of the first
ever contextualized assessment tools for assessment of the life skills of problem solving, self-awareness, collaboration and the
value of respect as envisaged in the Competency Based Curriculum in Kenya
