Senior Officer - Communications

Raynor Osare is an award-winning Kenyan journalist who has excelled in television production. Her 17 years’ experience blends media and communications, having worked in both mainstream media and education-based civil society organizations that work on education policy, research, and advocacy. She thrives in multimedia design and content production, strategic communication, media monitoring and evaluation, audience research, media relations, crisis communication, public campaigns communication, case studies, among others. Osare is also a fictional author and poet. She is a celebrated media and communications trainer who has recently found interest in Kenyan Sign Language. She is known for her passion for education for empowerment especially among persons with disability, children, youth and women.
Ms Osare has a master’s degree in development communication from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Language and Literary Studies (Literature &media), from Moi University. She recently completed a masterclass course in film production and photography from Strathmore University. Currently, Ms. Osare is pursuing a course in graphics design. Polo brings in a wealth of experience from her previous work and trainings in media, communications, advocacy, donor fund management, and leadership, from various institutions in Kenya, South Africa and the United States of America.
Her hobbies include food and landscape photography, baking, sewing and fictional writing. Raynor is a wife and a mother of two daughters.
